Dr. Scott J. Broussard

Dr. Scott J. Broussard, born and raised in Scott, LA, is a 1991 graduate of Acadiana High School. From there he obtained a BS degree in Zoology from the University of Louisiana-Lafayette in 1995. He then went on to the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine, where he received his doctorate in 1999. After graduation he worked for a short while in Jackson Hole, WY for the late Dr. Tim Gwilliam but ultimately decided that Louisiana was where he wanted to be. He returned home and accepted a position at Broussard Veterinary Clinic where he practiced along side Dr. Richard Broussard for nearly 6 years. After finally deciding to pursue a long-time dream, Dr. Scott launched The Waggin’ Train on February 22, 2005 and the rest, as they say, is history . . . .

When he’s not busy working, Dr. Broussard enjoys spending time with his family which consists of his wife Kristin, son Reid, and daughter Cora.  Some of his favorite hobbies include fishing, golf, tennis, and bow hunting. Dr. Broussard has a small “zoo” of his own at home, made up of his 3 dogs (Mako, Aspen, and Bogey), 1 cat (Ranger), and 2 birds (Pat, Petrie).
