Dr. Scott J. Broussard

Dr. Scott J. Broussard, born and raised in Scott, LA, is a 1991 graduate of Acadiana High School. From there he obtained a BS degree in Zoology from the University of Louisiana-Lafayette in 1995. He then went on to the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine, where he received his doctorate in 1999. After graduation he worked for a short while in Jackson Hole, WY for the late Dr. Tim Gwilliam but ultimately decided that Louisiana was where he wanted to be. He returned home and accepted a position at Broussard Veterinary Clinic where he practiced along side Dr. Richard Broussard for nearly 6 years. After finally deciding to pursue a long-time dream, Dr. Scott launched The Waggin’ Train on February 22, 2005 and the rest, as they say, is history . . . .

When he's not busy working, Dr. Broussard enjoys spending time with his family which consists of his wife Kristin, and 3 kids Reid, Cora, and Drew. Some of his favorite hobbies include fishing, golf, tennis, falconry, and bow hunting. Dr. Broussard has a small "zoo" of his own at home, made up of his 2 dogs (Aspen and Amos), 1 cat (Ranger), and 2 birds (Pat and Petrie).
